Job Title : Bench Scientist II Location : Cambridge, MA Type : Contract Compensation : $36-$41.82 Work Model : Onsite - onsite Overview Leading pharmaceutical company looking for a Bench Scientist II. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelors degree with 1-2 years protein purification experience. Responsibilities Responsible for purifying several recombinant proteins a week. Routine protein labelling and final characterization (target proteins and mAb/Fab, labelling, all labels including fluors, biotin, etc). Assistance for weekly western blots and possible transient and stable mammalian cell maintenance. Requirements Bachelors degree (BA/BS) with at least one year relevant experience in biochemistry, or a related field 1-2 years protein purification experience Purifying recombinant proteins Working with AKTA FPLC and Agilent HPLC. Experience labeling proteins and working with antibodies is a plus. Experience with tissue culture is a plus.
