Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

This role focuses on general warehouse operations within a specialty metal distribution and manufacturing environment. You handle a variety of metal products, support production activities, and participate in cross-training to learn new skills such as operating forklifts, side loaders, and saws. The position is ideal for individuals who are reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.

• Perform general warehouse and unskilled labor tasks in a specialty metal distributor and manufacturer environment handling extrusions, fittings, pipe, tube, rod/bar, sheet, and plate in stainless, aluminum, nickel, titanium, alloy, and carbon steel.
• Support production operations by assisting with material handling, basic machine operations, and other tasks as directed.
• Train to safely operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and side loaders, in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Learn and perform saw operations, including saw cutting of metal materials to specified lengths and dimensions.
• Handle incoming and outgoing materials, including loading, unloading, staging, and organizing inventory in the warehouse.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, such as preparing orders, packaging materials, and verifying quantities and documentation.
• Use basic computer skills to enter, update, and access information related to inventory, orders, and production activities.
• Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure after appropriate training to ensure accurate cuts and material handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following all safety policies and housekeeping standards.
• Participate in cross-training across multiple warehouse and production functions as part of the company’s risk mitigation strategy.
• Follow instructions carefully, pay close attention to detail, and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Demonstrate reliability, a positive attitude, and strong trainability by showing up on time and being ready to learn new skills.

• Ability and willingness to perform general labor in a production and warehouse environment.
• Capability to learn and safely operate forklifts and other mobile equipment; prior forklift experience is applicable but not required.
• Willingness to train on saw operation and saw cutting of metal materials.
• Basic material handling skills, including lifting, moving, and organizing products in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to be taught how to read and use a tape measure for accurate measurements.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and accessing information related to warehouse and production operations.
• Strong reliability, including consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and openness to learning new tasks and responsibilities.
• High level of trainability, with the ability to absorb instructions and apply them in daily work.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, cuts, and order fulfillment.
• Ability to work safely in a production environment and follow established safety procedures.

• Interest in learning machine operating skills, including saws and other production equipment.
• Experience in shipping and receiving in a warehouse or production environment is beneficial.
• Experience with forklift operation is a plus but not required, as training is provided.
• Comfort working with metal products such as stainless steel, aluminum, nickel, titanium, alloy, and carbon steel.
• Willingness to build a long-term career through cross-training and skill development.

The role is based in a production-oriented warehouse that specializes in metal products including extrusions, fittings, pipe, tube, rod/bar, sheet, and plate in stainless, aluminum, nickel, titanium, alloy, and carbon steel. You work in a hands-on environment that involves material handling, saw operation, and machine use, with training provided for forklifts and side loaders. The training schedule runs from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., reflecting a full-day shift in a structured setting. The facility uses standard warehouse and production equipment, and you are expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain an organized workspace. Attire is typical for an industrial warehouse, focusing on practicality and safety, such as appropriate work clothing and footwear suitable for a production environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodinville, WA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
