Speech Language Pathologist - Riverhead

Overview Speech Language Pathologist – Suffolk, NY at Achieve Beyond. Apply to help children with special needs reach their goals. We provide pediatric therapy in homes, community, and clinic settings with a culture of collaboration and high ethical standards. We offer services in ABA, Speech, Occupational therapy, Social Work, Physical therapy, and Special Education/SEIT across multiple regions. Location Location: Suffolk, NY. Cases available in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Responsibilities Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth through 21 years in natural settings. Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over. Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings. Follow the individualized therapy plan for each child, plan ongoing treatment, address identified goals, and document progress. Prepare progress reports as indicated. Maintain child records and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations; submit required records within established timelines. Requirements Must have a passion for working with children and families. NY State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist Self-motivated, team player who demonstrates patience and professionalism. Fluency in a language other than English is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including driving a personal vehicle or using public transportation. Ability to ascend/descend staircases. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly. Ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods. Starting Rate & Compensation Wage: Evaluations $130-$250 per hour; $60-$70 per evaluation (hourly). Compensation is determined based on experience and education and discussed during the interview process. Clinical Fellowship Year positions are available as well.
