Associate Attorney

Job Description

Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy & Ford, P.A. is actively seeking motivated Associate Attorneys to join our dynamic litigation teams in the Melbourne Office . We are looking for candidates with 2 to 8 years of experience, specifically in general liability and professional liability matters, to provide an excellent opportunity to handle complex cases in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
\n
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
\n
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations.
\n
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers.
\n
• Develop litigation strategies in close collaboration with senior attorneys and partners.
\n

Qualifications :

\n
• J.D. from an accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.
\n
• 2 to 8 years of experience in general liability and/or professional liability defense preferred.
\n
• Active license to practice law in good standing.
\n
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills, with a writing sample required.
\n
• Excellent communication and advocacy capabilities.
\n
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
\n
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
\n
• Candidates should demonstrate a readiness to take on significant responsibility while being team oriented.
\n
