Our primary classroom for children 3 years to 6 years has a Montessori trained teacher, but we need an aide. This person would need to be quiet spoken and physically agile, as there can be much bending to help small children. The job includes supporting the teacher through monitoring activity, redirecting children, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. No teaching experience is required. A sensitivity to the learning child, a beautiful but detailed environment, and an ability to quietly control movement in the classroom is required. The hours are 7:30am to 3:00pm five days a week During school sessions. Our school calendar includes four quarters, each is 9 weeks long followed by a 3 week break. All the children are independent in the bathroom.
