Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring that each client’s unique experience is understood and addressed.

  • Develop personalized treatment plans that align with clients’ needs and therapeutic goals, utilizing evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

  • Implement therapeutic interventions and track clients’ progress towards those goals while adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in their own healing journeys.

  • Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care, facilitating communication and referrals for medication management when necessary.

  • Document client interactions meticulously according to ethical and legal standards, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all records.

  • Engage in ongoing education and research initiatives to remain current with developments in the field, contributing to improved client care.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with clients facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our client population encompasses various backgrounds, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, all of whom may present unique challenges and strengths. This role will allow you to make significant contributions to underserved populations, providing the support they need to navigate their mental health challenges and foster resilience.

  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
