SALARY RANGE - This position pays Minimum Wage $16.90/hour plus tips. The Host is responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition and seating of all guests in assigned outlets and assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests throughout their dining experience. Responsibilities Adhere to the company’s service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Actively participate in the team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Participate in all resort-required meetings and trainings. Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner. Be attentive to guests’ needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience. Prepare cashier reports at the end of the shift. Take reservations for outlets when needed. Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance. Perform opening and closing duties according to the established side work checklist. Answer the telephone according to standards. Have knowledge of standards of service for receiving a room service order. Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable departments. Assist servers and cashiers in servicing guests as needed. Know and understand the state liquor laws. Ensure overall guest satisfaction and assist the server when needed. Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management. Qualifications In compliance with California laws, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are required. Work Conditions and Schedule Long hours sometimes required. Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
