RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

This is a 13-week contract position.

4x10-Hour shifts from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Weekend shifts are required.

Job Description

The Cath Lab RN is responsible for providing specialized care in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. The role includes administering conscious sedation, monitoring procedural sedation, and managing patient care during interventional cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients during procedures.
• Assist in various interventional procedures, including cardiac stent placement and catheterizations.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to any changes in patient status.
• Start and maintain IVs as needed for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in a similar setting.
• Current licenses: Florida RN license or compact license.
• Certifications: ACLS and BCLS required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
• Ability to be on-call for 10-12 days a month and every other weekend.
