As an Access Control Officer, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, controlling visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors while supporting routine patrols and incident reporting. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 07:00 PM - 03:00 AM Thur 07:00 PM - 03:00 AM Fri 07:00 PM - 03:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors entering the location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures. Maintain accurate access-control logs, visitor records, and incident documentation as required. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. CPR certification is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
