Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – Oncology Infusion, Glens Falls, New York. This is a travel, temporary assignment starting 07/16/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital-based outpatient infusion center. Weekly pay ranges from $2,413 to $2,510 per week. Shift: 5x8 days. This assignment focuses on infusions and related oncology care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
- Administer IV therapies and biologic agents per physician orders, including antibiotics, antifungals, steroids, IVIG, and other infusion meds used in oncology and related specialties.
- Monitor patients during infusions, assess responses, manage potential infusion reactions, and adjust care within scope of practice.
- Maintain and care for venous access devices (peripheral IVs, PICCs, ports) and assist with central line care as needed.
- Prepare medications, label and chart doses, and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Educate patients and families on infusion care, self-administration where applicable, and post-infusion precautions; coordinate with the care team for planning and follow-up.

Requirements
- Licenses and certifications: Active New York RN license; New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required to staff temporary needs (must be uploaded upfront with traveler profile).
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion.
- Certifications: Chemo Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) required; IV certification highly preferred; BLS and ACLS (per program) documented.
- EPIC experience required.
- Procedures: Peripheral IV insertion experience; Port/Fistula/Catheter experience required.
- De-escalation training: Completed training from Welle, CPI, or PMCS per onboarding requirements.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- Other: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; RTO requests: no more than 5 days considered; deems must be noted at upload and verified.
- Additional: 14-panel drug screen required and to be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
