Pharmacy Technician

Title: Pharmacy Technician
Duration: 6 months contract + Contract to Hire
Location: Burr Ridge, IL
Shift: 8am-430pm, and every other weekend from 10am-630pm

Roles & Responsibilities:
Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Pick and pull medications from inventory shelves, storage areas, and prepack medication racks
Prepare prescription orders for pharmacist verification by:
Selecting medications
Labeling products
Scanning medications for accuracy
Packaging completed orders
Assist in preparing finished prescriptions for dispensing and shipment
Process returned medications according to established procedures
Assist with medication recycling and disposal activities in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy operations
Adhere to company policies regarding safety, attendance, quality standards, and workplace conduct

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
Experience working in long-term care, retail, mail-order, fulfillment, or institutional pharmacy settings
Knowledge of medication packaging and inventory management processes
Experience working in high-volume pharmacy operations
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
