Position Summary

The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing commercial construction projects from award through final completion. This individual will oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, and client communication while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to Fox Building Group’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasting.
• Coordinate project startup, subcontractor buyout, procurement, and material deliveries.
• Lead project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Work closely with Superintendents to ensure field operations remain on schedule.
• Proactively identify project risks and develop effective solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company procedures.
• Oversee project closeout, punch lists, warranties, and final documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, scheduling, and estimating.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, and project financials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software (Procore experience is a plus).
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites throughout Florida. 

Preferred Experience

Experience managing projects such as:

• Office renovations
• Medical and healthcare facilities
• Retail and hospitality projects
• Industrial and warehouse facilities
• Educational or municipal buildings
• Tenant fit-outs and interior renovations
