About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Location

Bridgeport, WV

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips including Nitroglycerin, Neosynephrine, and Cardene per protocol
• Care for stepdown-level patients including post-MI with sheath pull, post-op vascular, GI bleed, DKA, and ADHF diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry on all patients and independently read and interpret cardiac strips
• Manage patients requiring BiPAP and CPAP respiratory support
• Float to other units as needed (PRN)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Experience caring for stepdown or intermediate care level patients
• Ability to titrate vasoactive drips independently
• Competency in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with post-MI care including arterial sheath removal
• Familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP management at the bedside
• Experience in a stepdown, PCU, or IMC setting
