Job Summary and Qualifications The staff physical therapist is responsible for the evaluation, assessment and treatment of a wide variety of patients, including neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and other medical conditions in the areas of acute, subacute, rehabilitation and outpatient physical therapy. The staff physical therapist supervises physical therapy assistants and rehab technicians, evaluates and treats patients in accordance with facility rules, the Physical Therapy Practice Act, and State of Nevada regulations. The staff physical therapist demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and assesses and interprets data reflective of the patient’s medical status and age‑specific needs, providing appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations, without regard to race, color, sex, religion, or national origin. Qualifications Graduate of a licensed physical therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Maintain licensure by the State of Nevada as determined by the Nevada State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
