Advanced Practice Provider - Electrophysiology (EP) Lab- Part-Time

Job Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for Electrophysiology (EP) Lab provides specialized cardiovascular care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures. Working collaboratively with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams, the APP delivers comprehensive patient care across the peri-procedural continuum, including evaluation, treatment planning, procedural support, and post-procedure management. The APP performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, orders, conducts and supervises, interprets diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of acute and chronic illness of critically ill patients. The APP promotes health and prevention of illness and injury, practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to treat and manage patient health problems. The role includes direct patient and family care, consultation, research, patient/family and community advocacy to holistically care for complex patient needs, and serves as a member of the ICU team with the primary responsibility of managing a caseload of critically ill patients under the supervision of the ICU supervising physician. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners, or the Academy of Physician’s Assistants. Two (2) or more years of experience as a critical care nurse or as a Physician Assistant. Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse (required for NPs). Current Georgia Authorization/Certification as a NP Advanced Practice Registered Professional Nurse (required). Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician's Assistant, specializing in critical care services for an in-patient setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
