CNC Machinist II in Gardena, CA — $25.00–$30.00/hr DOE, 2nd shift, contract-to-hire. Set up and run multi-axis CNC equipment for precision manufacturing.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Aerospace parts leave little room for error. The print, the setup, and your measurements have to agree.
Operate 2–5 axis CNC equipment, automated machine cells, and standalone machines with minimal assistance. Prepare fixtures and tooling, adjust programs and offsets, and inspect the parts you produce.
This role includes machine setup and production inspection, so you need to handle both operation and quality checks. Your recruiter will review the complete shift schedule before submission.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Set up and operate multi-axis CNC machines and automated cells
- Verify shop travelers and completion of prior operations
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
- Install fixtures and cutting tools and establish offsets
- Load and adjust programs, G-codes, and M-codes
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling to resolve machining issues
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections with micrometers, calipers, comparators, height gauges, and air gauges
- Complete production and quality documentation
WHAT YOU NEED
- At least 2 years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing or aerospace
- Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers
- Basic setup experience with tooling, fixtures, and offsets
- Working knowledge of G-code and M-code
- Ability to read blueprints and shop travelers and interpret GD&T
- Experience with precision measurement and basic shop math
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
NICE TO HAVE
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or Siemens controls
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
- High school diploma or GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment, prepare fixtures and tooling, and safely access and operate CNC machinery. Discuss specific lifting and standing demands with your recruiter.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing floor with CNC equipment and automated machine cells. Work safely around operating machinery. PPE is required and provided, and all plant safety procedures apply.
