RN Wound/Treatment NurseHighland Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center facility in Exeter, PAOpen Shifts:Day (7 AM – 3 PM)Weekdays Monday-FridayRN Wound/Treatment Nurse DESCRIPTION:Performs nursing functions within scope of RN licensureAssess and evaluate patient wounds to determine the appropriate course of treatmentDevelop and implement individualized wound care plansClean and dress wounds, ensuring sterile techniques are followedMonitor and document patient progress, updating treatment plans as necessaryEducate patients and their families on wound care best practices and infection preventionCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient careStay updated with the latest wound care research, techniques, and productsMaintain and stock treatment carts neatly and adhere to infection control guidelinesProvide emotional support and education to patients and their familiesAttend wound rounds twice weekly with wound team and make necessary adjustments to orders/care plansAdhere to all healthcare regulations and safety standardsRN Wound/Treatment Nurse REQUIREMENTS:Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) or equivalent certification PREFERREDExperience in wound care nursing or a related fieldAdvanced knowledge of wound care treatments and technologiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent organizational and time management skillsProficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systemsKnowledge of current wound care research and protocolsExperience in patient education and supportRegistered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of PABachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or associate degree in nursing (ASN)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationStrong clinical assessment skillsAbility to perform wound care proceduresProficiency in wound assessment and documentationExcellent communication skillsPhysical stamina to perform wound care tasksAttention to detailCommitment to continuous education and training in wound care
