Maintenance Technician

Technical MechanicThe Technical Mechanic will provide support to the facility in the mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical disciplines. The scope of work includes batch, continuous processes, packaging, and miscellaneous auxiliary systems. The individual will work with PLC technicians, operations, safety, and QA personnel to help deliver the site's business objectives utilizing their electromechanical skills to contribute.Key ResponsibilitiesInspection, diagnostics, and repairs of complex automated machinery in a just-in-time environmentPerforms preventative maintenance activities and work orders in a timely manner to maximize performance of plant equipmentPerforms tasks involving but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsResponsible for emergency troubleshooting, repairs, and replacement of faulty machine componentsMaintenance of plant facilities and auxiliary systemsBecome engaged and motivated member of small maintenance team that is critical to bakery operationsImproves and modifies preventative maintenance activities as appropriateResponsible for the manufacture of consumer foods which comply with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsUnderstands and supports company safety policies while performing work related activities in a safe mannerRecognizes unsafe working conditions, coaches peers, and suggests new safety standards as appropriateUnderstands, follows, and improves various documented standards in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) work environmentCoaches other team members on core mechanical skills, machine functionality, defect identification, and equipment repairUtilizes drawings, prints, and instruction manuals to determine proper steps to be taken for equipment maintenance tasksSafe working practices including LOTO, proper PPE usage, and procedure developmentThe employee must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, crawl, climb stairs/ladders, and be able to lift to a maximum of 50 poundsProject work and other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GED5 years of manufacturing, commercial, or industrial experience3 years of experience relating to mechanical devices and systems1 year of experience including electrical diagnostics and troubleshootingAdditional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:Arkansas Boiler Operator LicenseIndustrial Electricity or related courseworkWastewater licenseSkills in welding, machining, or metal fabricatingAbility to safely operate forklift or other powered industrial vehiclesElectrical troubleshooting skills utilizing multimeters, megohmmeters, and electrical theoryUnderstanding of mechanical devices and conceptsAbility to work independently and in a team atmosphereWe are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together.
