Machinist 3HiFyve is hiring a Machinist 3 in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!Pay Rate: $32–$38/hrLocation: Plymouth, MNShift: Day Shift 6:30 am to 3 pmKey Responsibilities:Set up and operate complex CNC machines, including horizontal/vertical milling and mill/turn machines with multi-axis, twin spindles, and twin turretsOperate machines of a complex nature with little to no supervisionEdit machine programs as neededSelect proper tooling for machining sequencesDetermine machining processes, feeds, and speedsMaintain setup sheets for new parts or design changesInstruct and mentor less skilled machinists and operatorsPerform finishing work such as deburring and sandingInspect parts to ensure quality and specification complianceMaintain a clean and safe work environmentDemonstrate company core valuesEducation Requirements:Associate or technical degree in Machining with 5–7 years of experience on complex equipmentOR8–10 years of experience with complex machining equipmentOREquivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:High proficiency in CNC setup and operationStrong knowledge of tooling, machining sequences, speeds, and feedsAdvanced shop math skillsThorough understanding of part inspection methodsAbility to train and instruct other machinistsProgramming experience is a plus but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periodsFrequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and materialsAbility to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionallyVisual acuity including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
