As our Galveston operation continues to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Transportation Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, support team development, and ensure outstanding service for our passengers and drivers.

What You'll Do as a Transportation Operations Manager:

Leadership & Team Management

• Provide leadership, direction, and daily support to dispatchers, drivers, office staff, and operations personnel.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives.
• Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
• Conduct coaching sessions and performance reviews to support employee success.
• Encourage effective communication and collaboration across departments.
• Develop and mentor future leaders within the organization.

Operations Management

• Oversee daily transportation operations to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable service delivery.
• Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, and operational performance.
• Coordinate with dispatch and fleet teams to maintain service readiness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Support strategic initiatives designed to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.

Customer & Driver Experience

• Promote a customer-first approach throughout all areas of the operation.
• Assist with resolving escalated customer and driver concerns professionally and effectively.
• Build strong relationships with employees, passengers, and community partners.
• Monitor service quality and implement improvements that enhance the overall transportation experience.
• Represent zTrip in a professional manner within the local community.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Review operational reports, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Drive initiatives focused on improving productivity, service reliability, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve business objectives and growth goals.
• Support workforce planning, forecasting, and operational reporting activities.
• Recommend and implement process improvements that promote long-term success.

Qualifications of a Transportation Operations Manager:

• Previous leadership experience in transportation, logistics, operations management, fleet services, customer service, or a related field preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Results-oriented with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.
