Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) plays a vital role in the assessment and treatment of patients with breathing issues. The responsibilities include the following:

• Patient Assessment: Conducting thorough evaluations of patients experiencing respiratory difficulties, analyzing blood and sputum samples, and performing lung capacity tests.
• Treatment Administration: Delivering treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy to enhance respiratory function.
• Life Support/Ventilation: Setting up, managing, and operating mechanical ventilators for patients who are unable to breathe independently.
• Emergency Response: Providing critical emergency care, which includes artificial respiration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when necessary.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate patient records, collaborating with physicians on treatment plans, and assisting with the discharge planning process.
• Patient Education: Instructing patients and their families on disease management and the proper use of home respiratory equipment.

This position requires night shifts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Required certifications include BLS/BCLS and RRT certification.
• Experience in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and emergency department (ED) is essential.
