Viken Detection seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead design and development of complex X-ray imaging and detection systems for security and industrial applications. You will own full product lifecycles from concept, analysis, and detailed 3D CAD design through prototyping, testing, and transition to manufacturing. Partner closely with electrical, software, and systems engineers to integrate high-voltage, motion, and thermal solutions into robust, field-ready products. Mentor engineers, drive design reviews, improve DFM/DFA, and support suppliers and production to ensure reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance in demanding environments.
