Ability to float to maternal/baby care and antepartum areas. Skills in admitting, prepping, and recovering both mothers and babies. Competence in titrating drips, specifically insulin and oxytocin. Willingness to work every third weekend and rotating holidays.Description: The Labor and Delivery unit provides care for patients with various diagnoses, including preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa, preterm labor, and premature rupture of membranes. Registered Nurses will support patients throughout labor and delivery, as well as postpartum recovery. The unit features seven labor and delivery beds, two operating rooms for C-sections, and 17 postpartum beds. An OB provider is available on-site 24/7, and anesthesia personnel are also present around the clock. Nurses will collaborate with OB technicians and have access to specialized staff for telemonitoring. The department utilizes an electronic fetal monitoring system for patient care. Weekend shifts will require work every third weekend, with opportunities for block scheduling. Observance of departmental guidelines for patient ratios and care standards is expected. Internal referrals and care coordination will be essential for daily operations within the unit. Registered Nurses are encouraged to participate in a collaborative work environment to ensure high-quality patient care. All clinicians must clock in and out during their shifts to maintain precise attendance records.
