PATIENT SERVICES LEAD (FULL TIME)

We are hiring immediately for a full‑time PATIENT SERVICES LEAD position at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital, 1519 Marion Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Applications accepted online only. Schedule: Full time, 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., days may vary; rotating weekends included. Pay Range: $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. Perks: $250 sign‑on bonus, meal plan, and free public bus transportation. Job Summary Patient Services Leads coordinate patient meal service and special requests for the Patient Dining Program. They oversee training and staffing to ensure patients receive quality, nutritious meals and timely service while maintaining a compassionate environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee systems and processes to achieve strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program. Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure they assist patients with menu selections, assembly, and delivery/pick‑up of meals. Collaborate with caregivers and the culinary team to provide menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, cultural or religious preferences, or special requests. Work with nursing staff to evaluate daily patient meal selections, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval. Respond promptly to patient needs, communicating problems or concerns through appropriate channels. Assist dietitians by monitoring patients on liquid diets or specific calorie limits. Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and JCAHO standards, as well as local health and sanitation regulations. Follow HACCP guidelines for meal assembly and distribution. Complete all required daily, weekly, or monthly reporting as outlined in company policies. Conduct daily associate team meetings using Morrison’s GR8 Start Meeting guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong communication skills and the ability to read safety rules, procedure manuals, and operational instructions. Proficiency in hospital ADT and other computer‑based systems that manage patient care records. Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts; reasonable accommodations can be provided for qualified individuals with disabilities.
