Job Description Duration: 4+ Months (Temp to Hire) Position summary: Translate prescriptions filled out by the MDO and enter them into the patient’s profile. Look for patient’s allergies, therapies, and current medication on different forms and enter them into the patient profile history. Verify all information is complete on the prescription and all necessary information is entered into the patient’s profile. Follow all necessary guidelines to ensure laws and regulations are followed. Vary work duties according to business needs. Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities. Previous Pharmacy Tech experience is preferred. Experience in a retail/specialty pharmacy setting is very helpful. Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment is necessary. Good organizational ability and attention to detail. Excellent phone etiquette skills and ability to interact professionally with others. Must maintain confidentiality on all patient health information. Must be able to follow and execute all policies and procedures. Pharmacy technician certification per state guidelines, CPhT preferred. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within pharmacy guidelines is helpful.
