Vivalon is seeking a motivated and experienced Safety & Training Supervisor to join our transportation team in Ceres, California . This is an exciting opportunity for a transportation professional who is passionate about safety, employee development, and operational excellence.

In this leadership role, you will make a direct impact on the success of our operation by supporting, coaching, and developing professional drivers while helping ensure the highest standards of safety, service, and regulatory compliance. What You'll Do

As a Safety & Training Supervisor, you will partner closely with the Safety & Training Manager to support daily transportation operations and foster a safe, customer-focused work environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide day-to-day supervision, support, and guidance to shuttle drivers.
• Conduct on-road observations, ride-alongs, evaluations, and coaching sessions to improve driver performance and safety.
• Assist with the development and delivery of driver training programs, workshops, and refresher courses.
• Investigate operational concerns, incidents, customer complaints, and safety-related matters, developing effective solutions when needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, client contract requirements, ADA regulations, and applicable state and federal transportation regulations.
• Monitor on-time performance, route adherence, and service quality standards.
• Promote a positive workplace culture through coaching, mentoring, recognition, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Serve as a resource for drivers and operational staff, helping resolve challenges while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and customer service

What We're Looking For

• Experience in transportation operations, safety, training, or supervision.
• Experience developing and delivering employee training programs.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills.
• Knowledge of ADA regulations and passenger transportation best practices.
• Working knowledge of applicable state and federal transportation safety regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to travel to our San Rafael headquarters approximately once per month.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience within the transit or passenger transportation industry.
• Experience working with public transit, paratransit, or contract transportation services.
• Knowledge of service area operations and transportation contract requirements.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a transportation environment.

Compensation & Benefits

$26.00 - $36.00 per hour (depending on experience)
