Job Title: Electrician Job Description

Join our team as an Electrician, where you will play a vital role in wiring and assembling control panels, switchgear, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motor control centers to power conveyor systems. You will be responsible for automation and controls, working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), optical sensors, encoders, and safety interlocks to manage conveyor belt speed, direction, and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and test control panels and switchgear.

• Work with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and motor control centers.

• Manage automation and controls using PLCs.

• Handle optical sensors, encoders, and safety interlocks.

• Ensure proper conveyor belt speed, direction, and tracking.

Essential Skills

• Experience in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), especially Allen Bradley PLCs.

• Ability to install and assemble control panels and switchgear.

• Experience with automation and controls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with optical sensors and encoders.

• Familiarity with safety interlocks for conveyor systems.

Work Environment

This is a temporary role with a 1st shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Beacon, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
