Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Cottage Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative Physical Therapy team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping patients regain function and improve quality of life through personalized rehabilitation care.Working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the PTA provides direct patient care in accordance with established treatment plans and physician orders. You will play an important role in supporting patients across the lifespan, ensuring care is appropriate to their individual needs and stage of development.Key responsibilities include:Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising PTAppointments are 45 minutes in lengthFlexibility in 8hr or 10hr shift lengthsMonitor patient progress and communicate updates, changes, and outcomes to the care teamMaintain accurate and timely documentation for medical records and third-party reimbursementAssist in coordinating re-evaluations and contribute to discharge planningEducate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercisesUtilize appropriate therapeutic modalities and techniquesSupport departmental operations, including record-keeping and workflow coordinationParticipate in team meetings, peer review, and continuous improvement effortsQualifications include:Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent PTA license in the State of New HampshireStrong communication, organizational, and patient care skillsIf you're looking to be part of a team that values collaboration, consistency in care, and making a meaningful difference in patients' lives, we encourage you to apply.
