Job Overview

Our client - a large state pension system serving over 210,000 members across 600+ educational institutions - is executing a multi-year modernization of its pension administration platform. As a Business Analyst, you will bridge business and technical teams, driving requirements gathering, process documentation, and quality assurance on a modern Azure-hosted system.
Key Responsibilities

• Engage business units to capture operational workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities
• Document current-state processes using process maps, swimlane diagrams, and workflow charts
• Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and Azure DevOps user stories
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to refine and validate requirements
• Develop test plans, test scripts, and UAT instructions; execute functional testing in Dev and Test environments
• Track defects, monitor resolution progress, and verify fixes
• Serve as liaison between business units and technical teams; communicate project updates, risks, and issues proactively
• Support change management through training materials and user guidance

Required Skills

• Business analysis and process documentation experience
• Ability to create clear process diagrams and workflow documentation
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar work item management tools
• Hands-on experience with functional testing and UAT coordination
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in pension, retirement, or public sector environments
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and SDLC
• Power BI or data reporting exposure

Location & Work Model

Primarily remote with occasional in-person attendance in Oklahoma City, OK. Standard hours X:00 AM-X:00 PM CT with flexibility subject to project manager approval. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
