The team leverages digital, analog, and power design skills to provide support throughout the product lifecycle from architecture and design through production and sustainment.We are currently seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer, with strong technical depth and leadership ability, to function as the Backend Electronics Lead for a multi-mission radar system. The Backend Electronics Lead will join the Multi-Function Radio Frequency System (MFRFS) Engineering team in McKinney, TX and have product responsibility for advanced digital receiver exciter (DREX) / radar backend electronics used in one of the Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) multi-mission radars on the MFRFS Product Line.This position is an onsite role, located in McKinney, TX. What You Will DoPrimary technical point of contact and responsible engineer for development, production and sustainment activities for designated DREX within the MFRFS Product LineCoordinate with the engineering team, product leads, chief engineer and program management on planning, execution, prioritization and execution status reportingProvide recommendations to the chief engineer on design improvements, technical risks and benefits, and overall technical maturation of the designated DREXDrive execution to resolution of technical issues associated with the DREXWork with the production factory team to understand the DREX build process and to assist in the optimization of the process, especially engineering-specific areasWork with the cross-functional design team to complete development and integration of the next generation DREXSupport the sustainment team and assist subject matter experts in the evaluation of repaired units to return to the field Planning and coordinating hardware design effortsOccasional travel opportunities may be required to support our customers at various sites.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.Prior experience with RF simulation toolsets (e.g., ADS, HFSS, SystemVue, etc.)Prior experience with RF testing including spectrum analyzers and network analyzersTechnical leadership experience, including the ability to lead the resolution of tough technical challengesElectrical hardware design and development experience including design standard adherenceExperience with production of new and/or significantly evolved RF and/or digital modulesQualifications We Value:One or more advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
