Physician (Family Practice)

Overview This position is located at A.T. August Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsibilities As a Physician (Family Medicine) you will: Provide first contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for infants, children, youth, and adults. Lead a multi-disciplinary team to provide ongoing patient care. Coordinate and/or integrate care across all elements of the healthcare system. Complete required records for all medical services in accordance with specified procedures and regulations. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience includes paid, unpaid, and volunteer work. Your resume must clearly describe relevant experience; transcripts will be required for qualifying based on education. Basic Requirement for Physician (Family Practice): Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a U.S. or Canada school accredited by recognized bodies. Foreign medical degrees must be equivalent. Licensure: Current, active, full, unrestricted license as a Physician from a State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory. Graduate Training: One year of supervised clinical experience post medical degree. Additional Requirements: Completed accredited residency in Family Medicine and equivalent experience totaling at least 5 years.
