Must-Have: General ICU experience including Vent/trach management, invasive line management, drains/tube management, post-surgical recovery, post-cath experience, fresh heart experience, CVVH, Balloon Pumps, CRRT


Description:
This position is within a Level III Trauma Center supporting a variety of patient conditions.
The facility includes a NICU and is a Primary Stroke Center.
The ICU unit consists of 17 beds.
The patient population includes general cases such as COVID, sepsis, ETOH, IVDA, OD, SI, delirium, GIB, and ARF.
Surgical patients may include general, orthopedic, ENT, and Client surgeries.
Cardiac and vascular surgeries are also part of the workload.
No complex neuro patients post TNK/TPA are included.
PPE, including N95 masks and PAPRs, will be provided.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2 based on acuity.
Certified Nursing Assistants will have a ratio of 1:8 during the day and 1:17 at night.
The unit offers support from charge nurses, unit secretaries, intensivists available 24/7, and an ICU-specific pharmacist during day shifts.
Respiratory therapy is available around the clock.
Charting is done using EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis systems.
Travelers may need to float to intermediate units and observation units.
Weekend rotation will be required every other weekend.
The day shift runs from 0700 to 1930.
No on-call duties are expected.
Additional requirements include adhering to scrub color guidelines and management discussions in case of sick calls.
