Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Adult)

Location: Rochester, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult patients facing various medical emergencies. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing advanced technology and resources to ensure effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer IV therapy and manage blood product administration.
• Provide ventilator management and care for patients requiring CPAP/BiPAP.
• Conduct triage assessments and provide emergency care to a diverse patient population.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Implement isolation precautions and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Participate in the delivery of care for acute psychiatric and trauma patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active New York State RN License (not compact).
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency setting.
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system.
