Python Developer

The Python Developer we're hiring will inherit a technology codebase with good bones and a few skeletons; Spotify is honest about both. Read it as a $66,000 - $92,000 invitation to own technology work in Dayton, backed by a mid-level title and 3 years of trust.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver mid-level-quality features within the $66,000 - $92,000 Python Developer mandate
• Catch the Cypress race conditions that only surface under Dayton peak traffic
• Prototype rough Java ideas fast, then decide which earn a place in Spotify's stack
• Translate technology compliance rules into Stress Management guardrails baked into the build
• Walk technology stakeholders through Spring Boot tradeoffs in language Spotify execs grasp

What You'll Bring

• Proven Spring Boot judgment when the textbook answer doesn't fit
• Around 4+ years of hands-on experience in a technology role
• 4+ years building trust the slow, unglamorous way
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight
• A nimble bias toward action, balanced by knowing when to wait
• 4 or more years steering technology projects end to end

From a Dayton loft, Spotify has built a bias-to-action reputation for solving technology problems others quietly gave up on. We trust the mid-level folks closest to the customer to make the call without a committee.

We deliver $66,000 - $92,000, comprehensive benefits, and a development culture where curiosity and relentlessly-kind ambition are rewarded.
