Bankruptcy Attorney

Our client, a respected law firm focused on creditors' rights and mortgage servicing matters, is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to represent institutional mortgage lenders and loan servicers in a variety of bankruptcy proceedings while providing strategic legal guidance throughout the life cycle of bankruptcy cases. Position Overview The Bankruptcy Attorney will advocate for and protect the interests of mortgage lenders and servicers in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy matters. This role is responsible for developing and executing legal strategies designed to safeguard secured creditor rights, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, minimize risk, and maximize recoveries. Key responsibilities include handling proofs of claim, motions for relief from stay, plan reviews and objections, loss mitigation and loan modification oversight, post-petition compliance matters, and advising clients on complex bankruptcy and servicing-related issues. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing bankruptcy law, including at least 1 year representing creditors in Dallas, Texas Bankruptcy Courts Active Bar membership and in good standing Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to effectively manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and court procedures Experience analyzing case law and providing strategic legal recommendations Ability and willingness to attend hearings and mediations throughout the State of North Carolina Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Excellent written and oral advocacy skills Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort working with legal technology platforms Positive attitude with a willingness to adapt in a dynamic environment Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities Skilled in gathering, evaluating, and analyzing information to support legal strategies Ability to independently manage files from inception through resolution Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration and fostering a positive work environment Focus on process improvement, quality enhancement, and delivering exceptional client service Strong analytical reasoning and sound legal judgment This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated bankruptcy attorney looking to join a well-established organization and make a meaningful impact while representing leading institutional lenders and servicers. #J-18808-Ljbffr HNE
