As a Personal Care Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, helping them to maintain their independence and overall well-being.

About the Role:

As a Personal Care Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing personal care assistance to our residents, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and other activities of daily living. You will also assist with personal care needs in grooming hair, nails, teeth, and etc. as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for taking and recording vital signs, documenting care, and providing personal attention to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and other activities of daily living

• Assist with personal care needs in grooming hair, nails, teeth, and etc. as needed

• Take and record vital signs as ordered by the resident's prescribing provider and/or as delegated by the Medication Technician or Supervisor-In-Charge

• Document care and any changes in a resident's health and/or mental status

• Provide personal attention, such as bedside water and ice, or other personal attention as requested or required

• Assist with orientation of new residents to the facility, staff members, and other residents

• Maintain resident confidentiality and protect protected health information

• Participate in job-related training and continuing education courses

Certification Requirements:

• Have current or expired NC Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Certification or 80 Hr Patient Care Aide (PCA) training certificate

• Complete the NC 80 Hour Patient Care Aide training course satisfactorily by meeting all course requirements, including the clinical component within 6 months of hire

Other Requirements:

• Ability to walk and hear 75% or more per shift

• Ability to perform physical demands outlined above, with or without reasonable accommodations
