Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Medical/Surgical patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting
• Administer and monitor Heparin drips and Insulin per unit protocols
• Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation and Pyxis for medication management
• Communicate effectively using SBAR methodology with interdisciplinary care teams
• Float to similar units as needed, typically at least once per week
• Participate in storm, hurricane, or disaster response teams as required by facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Proficiency with Heparin drips and Insulin administration
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Must pass EKG competency assessment
• Ability to work every other weekend and 2 of 3 major holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience (not required but welcomed)
• Familiarity with EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR communication frameworks
• Comfort working in high patient-ratio environments (1:6–7)
