Located in North Canton, Ohio, United Architectural Metals, Inc. is one of the most diverse engineered wall and façade suppliers in the market today. Our company specializes in designing, manufacturing, and installing innovative and high-quality building façade solutions. Our projects range from large-scale commercial buildings to architectural landmarks.
Position Overview:
As a Payroll Specialist/HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for the full payroll process and benefits administration for our employees. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with ability to meet strict deadlines, adherence to company policies, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Position reports to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
·Process payroll and prepare reporting for two companies.
·Process union payroll, expense reimbursements, and prepare monthly reports for union dues/fringes.
·Review timecard entries and resolve discrepancies.
·Onboard new hires, maintain employee personnel files, process terminations.
·Manage HR calendar.
·Prepare benefit packages for new enrollees. Serve as liaison for benefit related questions/issues.
·Perform benefit reconciliations to ensure accuracy with vendor billing
·Oversee Drug Free Workplace policies as they relate to pre-employment, injury and random testing
·Garnishment/child support maintenance and remittance
·Assist with the filing of payroll taxes, including year-end W-2 processing
Qualifications:
·Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience
·Knowledge of employment policies and ability to apply/communicate those policies through HR and payroll
·Experience processing full “in-house” payroll
·Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
·Solid understanding/experience using Excel
·Proven ability to explain complex payroll and benefit topics
·Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
·Spanish/English bilingual is preferred, but not required
