What the team do in a nutshell: Customer account creation and authentication Provide employee tools and customer self-service tools to update account info, receive and manage rewards. Account protection - develop online tools and self-service experience to mitigate data breaches for customers and employees Department impact to BBY (this date is dated Jan. 2022): 130.5 Million MyBBY memberships 96 Million digital accounts 13.8 Million MyBBY credit card accounts Project Description: BBY member ID standardization in support of membership, store experience Customer account accuracy in support of personalization, membership retention, store experience, customer support Customer lookup across all BBY employee tools in support of post purchase experience and reduce call volume. Guest checkout improvement to increase BBY online account adoption. Gated purchasing enhancements to scale member exclusive event capability and bot mitigation. Modernize customer online authentication to decrease complexity and improve sign-in success rate. Payment history, rewards, and expand CABO capability in support of BBY Credit Card and member exclusive deals. Position Summary/Job Description: As an Experience Designer on the Customer Engagement Services Product team, you will work with a highly-collaborative team of experience designers, content designers, researchers, strategists, product managers, and engineers to create compelling human-centered experiences across digital and physical touchpoints. We’re an integral part of Product Experience Design at Best Buy, a team that designs and implements innovative, human, end-to-end experiences for our customers. This role focuses on helping customers through their product discovery journey as well as helping them get the most out of their existing products and services. The Experience Designer: Plays a key role in promoting Human-Centered Design Participates in discovery efforts Communicates design intent Advocates for continuously improving our customer experiences Effectively presents designs, drives consensus, and negotiates trade-offs Works through complex design solutions and understands the underlying technology Effectively manages multiple projects Works in an Agile environment with iterative product development while maintaining a cohesive and holistic view of the end-to-end customer journey Responsibilities: Work with experience designers, product managers, engineering leads, and business stakeholders to gain alignment on solutions and align customer and business needs Leverage customer research, site metrics, and usability findings to back up assertions, make recommendations, and drive strategy Work with your partners to understand the problem space and foster a shared vision of the future Partner with customer research, analytics, consumer insights and A/B testing teams on methodology and approach for the vetting and testing of UX strategies Collaborate with UX leadership on the evolution and continual maturation of our experience design practice and brand expression Skills Overview: What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job? Online or PDF portfolio, case studies, or presentation that demonstrates experience design knowledge and skills At least 2 years of experience as an Experience Designer or Product Designer. History demonstrating human centered design, interaction design, information architecture, visual/graphic design, usability standards and best practices. Advanced knowledge of Experience Design principles and deliverables (e.g., designs, wireframes, prototypes) Intermediate to Advanced skills with Figma and Miro or similar programs (e.g., Sketch, InVision, Axure, Mural, Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Balsamiq, OmniGraffle) Experience developing prototypes and co-leading workshops and jam sessions. History of proactive communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills History of balancing the agile work environment and iterative product development with maintaining a cohesive and holistic view of the overall user journey Interview Process Overview: 1.
