Wilmington, MAHybridFull Time$110k - $140kThis client is a product development consultancy specializing in advanced life sciences and automation systems in the Greater Boston area. This is a full-time Mid-level Electrical Engineer role focused on control panel design, PLC/HMI programming, and automated test systems. The environment is centered around industrial automation tools and technology. This role offers ownership across the electrical design lifecycle. You will be building systems from schematic design through panel layout, wiring, testing, and field debugging. This opportunity is very hands-on, and you will work directly with control systems, motion hardware, and test fixtures while helping define how machines perform in a real production environment.Required Skills & Experience3-5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering (industrial automation, machine building, or robotics) Experience designing electrical control panels, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMS Strong understanding of low voltage power systems up to 480 VAC PLC/HMI programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, or equivalent) Ability to troubleshoot full control systems Experience with industrial communication protocols. (EtherNet, IP, Modbus, CANopen, EtherCAT) Desired Skills & ExperienceMotion control experience (BLDC, servo, stepper, encoders, motion controllers, and closed-loop tuning) Proficiency with electrical design tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical) Experience with ECO/PLM workflows for engineering change control Scripting or automation experience with (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown 40% Electrical Design 25% PLC / HMI programming and debugging 20% Test fixture development and hardware validation 15% field troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and system support Daily Responsibilities 60% Hands On 20% Cross-functional collaboration 15% Documentation and ECO / PLM updates Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
