Description:
Traveler's permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible to apply.
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit.
The shift will be nights, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts.
Every other weekend is required, along with holidays based on need.
The nurse-patient ratio will be 1:5-6.
This is an acute care telemetry medical-surgical unit with 25+ private beds.
Patient acuity ranges from moderate to high.
No ventilator patients are cared for on this unit.
Candidates must have access to managing ports and the ability to administer blood products.
Experience managing cardiac telemetry and central line care is required.
The unit supports a variety of diagnoses, including orthopedic and trauma cases.
The unit features interdisciplinary support from various services, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
Special procedures may include management of heparin and pain management protocols.
Telemetry monitoring will be conducted on the unit.
Lift equipment for safe patient handling is available.
Candidates should have a strong foundation in telemetry skills, wound care, and managing multiple patient conditions.
