Position: Cafeteria Team Member

Status: Hourly Employee

Wage: Hourly, set annually by the board

Benefits: As specified by the board

Work Year/Day: 181 days at 2 to 5.75 hours per day depending on assignment

Supervisor: Head Cook

General Requirements:

• Maintain a work climate that is conducive to carrying out the business of the school district in a dignified, orderly, and friendly fashion.
• Students. Pleasing personality in terms of working with other people and serving.
• Cooperative in terms of working with other people.
• Initiative in terms of going ahead with assigned tasks.
• Neatness in appearance and work product.
• Skilled in cooking and baking.

Specific Duties:

• Cook and prepare food daily.
• Serve on line at lunch time.
• Clean up at end of day.
• Assist with dishwashing.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervision.

Physical Effort:

• Requires considerable standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
• Must be able to lift and carry supplies, bins, and trays weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to sweep and mop floors.

Working Conditions:

• Work in kitchen and dishwashing room is often with high temperature and hot water.
• Is subject to burns, scalds, falls, sprains, and cuts.
