Industrial Injection is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to support receiving operations at our Salt Lake City warehouse. This position will focus primarily on processing core returns and other incoming parts, materials, and shipments.

A "core" is a used diesel component returned by a customer for remanufacturing, credit, or replacement. The person in this role will help ensure returned cores are received, identified, documented, organized, and routed accurately. Because receiving errors can affect inventory, customer credits, and production, attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping are essential.

Although the current need is primarily in receiving and core returns, this position may also assist with shipping and other warehouse responsibilities as business needs require.

Primary Responsibilities

• Receive and unload core returns, parts, supplies, materials, and other incoming shipments.
• Identify, sort, label, and organize returned cores.
• Match received items to available packing slips, return documentation, work orders, or other records.
• Verify part information, quantities, condition, and other required details.
• Document damaged, incomplete, unidentified, or incorrect returns and notify the appropriate team member.
• Enter or record receiving information accurately in applicable systems and records.
• Stage and route cores and other received materials to the appropriate department or storage location.
• Maintain organized core-return and receiving areas.
• Communicate with warehouse, sales, customer service, purchasing, and production personnel to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with inventory organization, cycle counts, and warehouse housekeeping.
• Operate pallet jacks, dollies, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
• Assist with outgoing shipments and other warehouse duties as needed.
• Follow all receiving, inventory, quality, and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, automotive parts, manufacturing, or related experience is preferred.
• Ability to identify, count, sort, label, and organize parts accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory and receiving systems.
• Ability to read and compare packing slips, part information, work orders, and related documents.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and communication.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
• Forklift or material-handling experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with diesel, automotive, or industrial parts is helpful but not required.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This position works in an active warehouse and industrial environment around parts, pallets, forklifts, equipment, noise, oils, grease, and other shop conditions.

The position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, reach, lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and twist.
• Lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Use carts, dollies, pallet jacks, forklifts, or team assistance for heavier or awkward items.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow established safety procedures.
