Pay Rate $15.00 to $17.50 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Position Summary We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with at least six months of management or key role experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day‑to‑day store operations, leading and developing staff, recruiting and retaining talent, maximizing financial goals, and managing customer relations. This role partners with the Store Manager to analyze financial statements, oversee asset protection, promote the business, and attract new customers. The store handles a variety of jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The position offers an hourly wage with commissions based on productivity and a bonus tied to store performance. Compensation varies by location, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and addressing issues promptly. Monitor and assist in training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards. Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels. Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise and ensuring all procedures are followed. Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans. Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, systems, and enterprise‑level reporting. Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting. Maintain operating standards that meet or exceed FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans. Complete assigned training and development tasks. Communicate clearly with employees to align on mission and profit objectives. Stay current on product knowledge. Act as manager on duty when the Store Manager is absent. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lb). Demonstrated supervisory experience. Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. May assist customers outside the store or retrieve items from exterior storage. Minimum age 18 years. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. Ability to work multiple locations as needed. Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays. Work 40+ hours per week (hours not guaranteed). Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines. Multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. Analytical skills. Cash handling experience required. Work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent work ethic and strong business sense. Commission Plan Information The Assistant Store Manager commission incentive plan is proprietary. Assistant Store Managers may earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their performance.
