Manufacturing AutomationThe Manufacturing Automation position located in Hampton, VA will provide technical expertise for manufacturing processes on site including CNC, EDM, Waterjet, Production Gauging and all Automated operations. Develop automated manufacturing processes to provide manufacturing expertise for the engineering team. Qualify new product on manufacturing equipment, internally and with the customer and provide support for manufacturing to improve existing processes.Anticipated Pay Range: $90K-100K per year. Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.Essential Job Responsibilities but not limited to:Create, verify and release machining programs for programable manufacturing equipment including CNC, EDM & WaterjetCreate, verify and release robot programs for automated cells in Wax, Monoshell and Post castDesign and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processesDevelopment and implementation of new advanced manufacturing equipment and automationSupport justification of capital funding requestsCost reduction and process improvement of current manufacturing techniquesCreating and maintaining all documentation including SOPs, EMSs, JSAs for CNC, EDM, Waterjet, Production gauging and other Automated operationsSupport NADCAP compliance on NADCAP controlled manufacturing equipmentMentor other team members in CAD, CAM, EDM & AutomationProvide manufacturing engineering solutions to executional scrap issuesSupport identification and implantation of new manufacturing technologyResponsible for program storage, data back-ups and revision control for Manufacturing equipmentProvide technical expertise for qualification of outplant machining operationsImplement and support EH&S activitiesPrioritizing product demands, process control tasks and manufacturing engineering responsibilities to fulfil business needs across all Business CentersMaintaining focus on supporting production while implementing new products and process improvementsQuality control of work instruction documentation and product criteriaWorking with Maintenance to help fault find manufacturing systemsDirect reporting to Manufacturing Engineering Lead who reports to Engineering Manager. Our largest customer is Manufacturing, led by Operations ManagerWorks within Engineering to provide engineered solutions to Manufacturing problemsAchieves specific sub-function goalsQualificationsBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or GED from an accredited institutionA minimum of five years' relevant experience within an engineering environmentGood understanding of tooling, fixture design and manufacturing processesProficient in CAD, Siemens NX an advantageAbility to read engineering drawingsHigh level of computer literacy (Word/Excel/Project)Good judgment and decision makingCommunication and team working skillsEmployee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
