Certified Coding Education Specialist

To enhance coding quality and education initiatives, the full-time Coding Education Specialist will assist in the design, development, and delivery of educational materials and training sessions for medical billing and coding, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting. Key responsibilities: Assist in developing strategic coding communication and education plans tailored to target audiences and training needs Create and manage educational deliverables, including presentations, training materials, and handbooks Lead training sessions on billing and coding information while providing mentoring and feedback to physicians and third-party vendors Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential required Three years of experience in E/M and/or surgical coding and reimbursement activities Preferred clinical background and previous chart abstraction experience Strong knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT coding conventions
