Accountant

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Pascagoula, MS. The Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger entries, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. Daily tasks include processing invoices, recording transactions, assisting with tax preparation, and supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities. The role also involves communicating with clients regarding financial questions, maintaining organized documentation, and adhering to firm and regulatory standards. The Accountant will collaborate with other team members to improve processes and support the firm’s commitment to high-quality service. Qualifications Strong accounting fundamentals, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation. Proficiency with accounting software and common office applications (e.g., QuickBooks or similar platforms, Excel, Word). Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration. Ability to work on‑site in Pascagoula, MS, and contribute positively in a team‑oriented setting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required especially in light of significant experience.
