About the Position

Job Opportunity – Burn and Reconstructive Care Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** August 28, 2026**Location:** San Antonio, Texas**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** 12-hour shifts (Day or Night available); every other weekend; no on-call required. Patient ratio 1:3–4. Unit staffing includes Charge Nurse, RNs, and Patient Care Technicians per shift.**Highlights:**- 22-bed specialized Burn and Reconstructive Care Unit (BRCU) with off-service PCU patients- Patient population includes burn, reconstructive, stroke, and cardiac patients- EMR system: Meditech- Standard equipment; primary procedures include dressing changes- Float to PCU/Telemetry/Medical-Surgical zones as needed- Scrub color: Navy Blue**Requirements:**- Active Texas RN license or compact state license- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience required- Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Telemetry, or Medical-Surgical experience strongly preferred- Ability to work independently and manage diverse patient populations**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This role offers the chance to develop specialized skills in burn and reconstructive care while maintaining critical care competencies with PCU-level stroke and cardiac patients.
