Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year minimum License: Must hold a valid state RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with a patient ratio of 4:1 - Charting system experience (Epic preferred) Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will rotate between multiple clinics in the area. The role involves handling a diverse range of patient cases including abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, burns, and drug overdose. Nurses will provide emergency medications and manage symptoms for various conditions such as respiratory infections and seizures. They will triage patients and manage care for those in critical or unstable conditions. The position requires skills in starting and maintaining IVs, phlebotomy, and managing violent behavior. This role includes collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care to patients of all ages, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 86 visits with 16 rooms and beds available for patient care. There may be a requirement for weekend coverage as needed. All candidates must attach their Nursys report when submitting their application. Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting is required for this position.
