Registered Nurse – Charge Acute Care is available for a travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Location: San Luis Obispo, California, United States. Start date: 09/14/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: 2,394 to 2,541 USD per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM). This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership and collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff to coordinate patient care.
- Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel; assign duties and oversee performance using professional judgment.
- Develop and revise individualized care plans with the health team and families to optimize outcomes.
- Monitor patient care activities for safety, quality, and efficiency; participate in direct patient care as needed.
- Conduct rounds to assess patient needs, address concerns, and promote patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity.
- Partner with leadership to implement strategies that improve patient satisfaction and overall care experience.

Requirements
- Licenses: Current RN license in the state of practice (CA)
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred
- Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required
- Experience: Five years of technical experience preferred; Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required; At least two years of supervisory experience required for this role; Charge Nurse experience required; EPIC EMR experience required
- Additional: Must be able to work in a hospital unit setting; No call required
